Donna Lewis began painting in 2003. Though she’d always possessed keen artistic sensibilities since her childhood days in Kansas, Lewis had never picked up a brush. Decades later, while on a trip to Hawaii, she caught glimpse of an ocean wave that sparked the idea for her very first painting, “Splash.” Since then, she has mostly specialized in wistful, impressionistic nature scenes, veering occasionally into abstracts.
